    I'm totally intrigued by this method of replacing a cabin sole. Could this be done right overtop of the old cabin sole, raising it by a 6-8mm? My woodworking skills might just be up to it.

      Thanks for writing to me regarding the floor of the boat, I absolutely didn't want to cut new panels and try them on...try them again so that they were perfect, so I used the old ones. Already perfect and quite straight. I calibrated them by about 10 mm because I then glued the new Teck both above and below. Much larger than the tenths of a millimeter that are normally used in those already made and among other things very expensive, this will allow me in the future to be able to sand and repaint the floor if it is ruined. The only difficulty was making the perfect white lines with enough distance between them to make them fall balanced on the floor!

    Always a pleasure to see another nice solution to the "vomiting" drawer problem. In your case it works as your drawers and carcass were built to such close tolerances...one of the more elegant (and well made) hidden fasteners available. I was waiting for the sharpened points on the screw ends for ease of marking, but that would be overkill, of course!

    I had a hard time finding good information of this cooker even at Techimpex's website. You video helps me seeing how gorgeous this thing is. I am not installing it in a boat, but on an expedition camper based on a Fuso Canter that I am building. Nothing else satisfies me especially here in USA where all the RV appliances are junk. I am a foodie and excellent home cook so I am willing to pay a lot of money for an excellent product.

    I rewired my boat using Oceanflex. The hardest thing was finding something to fix the cables to. In a house you can always fix them to a wall, or even better, chase them in. But in a boat, the wall is the hull, and I don't want to put screw holes in the hull. Cable tie mounts do not stick to the hull either, especially if it is flowcoated. How do you fix the cables to something?

    • @sea4see
      @sea4see 7 месяцев назад

      Easy.. epoxy putty and piece on plywood with dimension you need when cured and correct screw lengths you can fix you cables. I did many time in my boat with no problem or you can glass a plastic hose where the cable run into…

    Hi .. long time since I've seen you boat and videos. Great to see ELLOS is still looking beautiful. If you ever need to move the platform higher again, you could put the 2 braces underneath the platform. I did this with mine. It works really well as you can hold onto the brace while undoing the swim ladder. I also put the swim ladder under the platform so it is able to be accessed if you ever end up overboard or go swimming and forget to put the ladder down. Anyway .. you did a beautiful job. Cheers from New Zealand.

    Could you please provide information on using fiberglass inserts or threading into fiberglass directly for high-vibration applications like mounting engines, heavy watermakers, or generators on board? Hello I thx for write! Tip: Important thing is the correct search therms of what you looking for .. but more easy : I already cover this argumentation in the installation of the pole stanchion support ( that need a very strong bonding…like what you looking for…)using a particularly epoxy resin made for pourpouse. You can check the producer website and my video here the adress: ruclips.net/video/Vsu-HysgOxg/видео.htmlsi=H8IiEoFqd3puixhr For threading you can check the video at: ruclips.net/video/Sbp3dygi-PU/видео.htmlsi=jxHSbN8UMT8bqt3w Check on RUclips helicoil and you will find many videos like what you need

    My Rudder is very stiff, takes quite a lot of force on the tiller to turn it (but it does move smoothly). Is there grease to make this easier?

    • @sea4see
      @sea4see 9 месяцев назад

      Hello you can check if the stuffing box is too tight( check my video regarding this argument) sometimes to avoid water entering and you never replace the cords inside you need to tight hard and this could cause stiff rudder.. check also the deck support and alignment good luck

    I thinks guideline is to use double hose clamps for all connecting to through hulls below the waterline?

    The logo turned out perfect! Is it an idea to fill the logo with teak rubber? This would avoid dirt from getting in there and makes the logo stand out even more

    Wow! I’ve just discovered your channel and really like how you enjoy restoring and keeping your wonderfull boat in prestine shape. The boat looks like it was built new only yesterday. Compliments!

    Good to see you and your wonderful Ellös again😊 And yes, the Lagoon leg is just great. We’ve got a larger rectangular dinner table and an extra small oval one for morning espresso. Greetings from Göteborg on our summer voyage from Copenhagen in our little Albin Vega. We were going to go to Ellös, but bad weather prevented it. Next year, try again!

    Very pleased to see how you are giving back...having now spent years learning and doing, it is admirable. Not surprised, of course, as the search and execution will always be with us in the search for the perfect solution. And a keyboard bag! Who would have thought... (well, maybe you) Always happy to see you pop up in my feed, another old friend come to visit!
